On Sunday, 13rd of December, Cardinal Duka met in Prague´s Cathedral the U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Stephen King to express his thanks for years of cooperation.
During the meeting, His Excellence Stephen King delivered following speech:
Thank you Cardinal Duka for this opportunity to briefly speak on this third Sunday of Advent.
As the United States Ambassador here in Prague I bring you greetings of joy and good will from the people of the United States of America.
As the season of the birth of our savior Jesus Christ is near I also want to extend my personal wishes and prayer that God will continue to bless the people of the Czech nation.
The Christian spirit of peace, hope and love is the spirit all people of faith carry all year round, everywhere we go. As long as we do, we need never be afraid, because our trust in God answers all our problems.
My prayer today for you is “May you be filled with the wonder of Mary, the obedience of Joseph, the joy of the angels, the eagerness of the shepherds, the determination of the magi, and the peace of the Christ child.”
